Become a Mentor to Human-Centered Design Students

Apply to be an alumni visiting mentor in Whitman's Human-Centered Design concentration. Lead class meetings, offer workshops, and advise students and faculty.

Primarily remote, with two campus visits. Compensation included for the 2025-26 academic year.

  • Submissions due August 1, 2025.
  • Updates should highlight news from the past calendar year and may include career updates; publications; honors, awards or appointments; or other significant life changes you’d like to share with the Whittie community.
 

Whitties Turned Walla Walla Sweets Coaches

  • For the first time ever, a Whitman coach will led the Walla Walla Sweets. The amateur baseball team will be managed by Blues baseball Assistant Coach Colby Watilo. 
  • Alum and former Sweets player Leo Rivera ’22 will aid Watilo as an assistant coach for the league.
 

Commencement 2025: Great Day, Greater Futures.

Whitman College celebrated its 139th Commencement on the south lawn of the Memorial Building, where generations of Whitties have crossed the stage.

 President Sarah Bolton welcomed the Class of 2025—Whitman’s largest-ever incoming class—who first arrived in August 2021. Nearly four years later, more than 415 graduates received their degrees in a joyful ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
