The 2025 athletic season is on! 

Last week, men's golf claimed the CA State Intercollegiate tournament title to open the season. 

Home conference matches kickoff this weekend for volleyball and soccer—while cross country hits the road in away competition. Head to the Whitman Athletics website to view the composite schedule, find stats and watch live.

Virtual Event: Protecting Firefighters, Protecting Public Health

  • Join a virtual lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. with Associate Professor of Sociology Alissa Cordner as she shares findings from her research with wildland firefighters.
  • Since 2015, Dr. Cordner has worked with firefighters to understand how they experience and understand the risks of their job—increased by aggressive fire suppression, growing developments in the wildland-urban interface, and a hotter and drier climate.
