Virtual Event: Protecting Firefighters, Protecting Public Health
|
- Join a virtual lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. with Associate Professor of Sociology Alissa Cordner as she shares findings from her research with wildland firefighters.
- Since 2015, Dr. Cordner has worked with firefighters to understand how they experience and understand the risks of their job—increased by aggressive fire suppression, growing developments in the wildland-urban interface, and a hotter and drier climate.
