This week, the winter Athletics season arrives on campus as Blues teams host their first home competitions.

Women’s Basketball
Women’s Basketball, after finishing second in the NW Conference last year, dominated 2024–2025 preseason polling, winning 8 out of 9 first-place votes. Returning to campus as champions of last weekend’s Chuck Resler Tournament in Rochester, N.Y., they will host the 2024 Kim Evanger Raney Memorial Classic starting Friday in Sherwood Athletic Center. Whitman will play East Texas Baptist University on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. and University of La Verne on Sunday, Nov. 17 at noon.

Men’s Basketball
After sharing last season’s NW Conference regular season title, Men’s Basketball starts the season tied for second in preseason polling. Their 2024–2025 competitive season starts Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. when they take on East Texas Baptist University in Sherwood Athletic Center. They will also hit the court in Sherwood on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. against North Central College and again on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. against Benedictine University.

Swimming
Preseason polling picked Women’s Swimming to defend last season’s conference title, their sixth in seven years. Men’s Swimming, after a second place finish last year, sat at third in preseason polling. Swimming started their season on the road in early November and will host two home meets in Harvey Pool this weekend, taking on Linfield University Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. and Willamette University on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m.

Come out and cheer on our student-athletes in person or watch online. Go Blues!
