Lacrosse Team Wins Its First Conference Title

This past weekend, the Whitman College women’s lacrosse team secured the program’s first Northwest Conference Tournament championship title in 10-6 a win against Willamette University.
With this win, the Blues automatically qualify for the NCAA Division III Championship, which will take place May 8–24. In the opening round, Whitman will face off against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday, May 9.

Lacrosse Earns Conference Honors
|
The Whitman women’s lacrosse team was well represented on the 2026 Northwest All-Conference Team, with nine honorees:
|
- Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach Chris Duncan was voted Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season.
- Renn Novak ’27 was named Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the First Team.
- Serafin Miller ’29 earned Rookie of the Year honors and was named to the First Team.
- Sarah Hawkins ’28 and Joy Olson-Udertiz ’28 were also named to the First Team.
- Teagan Huff ’26 and Lola McConaghy ’28 earned Second Team honors.
- Sky Pasena-Littlesky ’26 and Andy Garcia ’27 earned Third Team honors.

President Bolton Holds Open Office Hours for Staff

President Bolton will hold open office hours for staff members today from noon–1 p.m. in the Lizzie Murr Dining Room at Cleveland Commons. This is an informal opportunity for conversation. Feel free to bring your lunch!

Dr. Carey-Butler Holds Open Office Hours for Students
|
Dr. Sylvia Carey-Butler, Vice President for Inclusive Excellence, will hold open office hours for students today from 12:30–1:30 p.m. in the Reid Campus Center, near the fish ladder sculpture. Stop by to chat about community-building, share feedback on campus initiatives, navigate resources and support, or explore new ways to advance Inclusive Excellence—on campus and beyond. Meal vouchers will be provided.

MMIP Awareness Event Today
|
A Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Awareness Event will be held today at 6 p.m. in Reid Campus Center’s Young Ballroom. The event will include informational booths and a talk by Mildred Quaempts. A companion “red dress” exhibit is on display in Stevens Gallery. (Flyer attached.)
