For the Common Good: Whitman College Launches Public Health Program

The interdisciplinary Public Health concentration at Whitman College is for students interested in pre-med programs or preparing for health careers. Every student completing the concentration will take part in immersive learning experiences through research, an internship or community-based work.

Women's Basketball Makes an NCAA Tournament Appearance

The Whitman women's basketball squad finished their season out with a Northwest Conference championship title and an NCAA second-round showing. 

Conference play has kicked off for Baseball, tennis, distance track and lacrosse. As the mild winter season comes to a close, it's a great time to catch your Blues in action! View the composite schedule and stream games live.

Experience the Walla Walla Valley At Bike Camp

Spend a week in Walla Walla for a choose-your-own-cycling-adventure: stay in a residence hall, put up your tent on a campus lawn, enjoy meals in Cleveland Commons; or stay in a local hotel/rental! Short and long routes available or take a day off the bike to enjoy some terrific local activities.

100% of the net proceeds of the event will go to Whitman’s innovative and reparative Šináata Scholarship program, a four-year, full-ride opportunity for members of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Secure your spot.

Final Week to Nominate a Whittie for an Alumni Recognition Award

  • Nominate a classmate to be recognized by the Alumni Association for exemplifying outstanding achievement in their career, communities or service to Whitman College.
  • Submission deadline: March 13, 2026. Nomination form.
  • Awards will be presented during Reunion Weekend 2026.
