Three Champions on Club Sports Climbing Team

Each year, the Whitman College Climbing Team competes in the NC3 (Northwest Collegiate Climbing Circuit), one of the largest collegiate competitive climbing series in the country. NC3 events are held across the region at eleven institutions, including the Sweet Onion Crank event at Whitman College. Scoring is based on combined scores from multiple competition events.

Three members of Whitman’s club sports team were recently announced as NC3 Champions for 2026:

  • Lily Iseminger ’27 (left), First Place in Women’s Climbing
  • Orion Killian ’27 (right), First Place in Men’s Climbing
  • Ian Milton ’27 (not pictured), Second Place in Men’s Climbing

The NC3 serves a student and community population of over 200,000 participants annually, with students from around 15 Northwest colleges competing in the circuit.
